Frederic Auguste Barholdi, the artist who created the Statue of Liberty, intended it for Egypt which was prospering after the latest war of the time.
It was to sit at the entrance to the Suez Canal as a beacon of freedom.
Rather ironic if you think about a region in so much turmoil today, and the lack of freedoms and human rights so many people endure. But, let’s no go there…
The Egyptian government, however, rejected the Statue as, “too old fashioned.”
Good fortune for the US, I think.
The landmark is an icon!
But, it was still difficult to make happen.
Money needed to be raised to bring the iconic statue to NYC.
This was done in both countries by displaying pieces of the structure, and charging people to see them.
The arm was displayed in Philadelphia in 1876, and the head in Paris in 1878.
The American side actually ended up raising more money.
One reason is because newspaper publisher Joseph Pulitzer championed the cause, and said he’d publish the names of everyone who donated a dollar or more.
It took 15 years, from 1871 until 1886, to raise the money and finally unveil the Lady Liberty.
That’s a lot of commitment, and can you imagine doing that without the technology we have today?
A great feat and such an icon of freedom, liberty and more.
Which brings me to ask…
What’s your commitment to your liberty?
Your personal liberation may take several forms.
And it will take commitment.
But it’s completely possible to have the total freedom you desire and deserve.
I suggest doing it in the form of Perpetual Wealth!
That’s ever increasing your cash flow and net worth – without getting out of bed…
If you choose.
(I doubt you’d choose to just stay in bed.)
You’ll be able to do whatever it is you want to do, when you want, with whomever you want.
But it starts with a simple commitment to a process.
And I’ve laid out a very simple 7-Step process in my Perpetual Wealth program.
Choose liberty!
Choose freedom!
Choose Perpetual Wealth.
