If you’ve ever wondered what will sell online or how you can make money online, I can tell you from experience that there are thousands of ways to do it.
I’ve talked with people that sell fitness, knitting, survival, goal tender training for hockey and much much more.
But yesterday, I was doing some research yesterday and came across an article of a guy who would draw crazy cat drawings for people and sell them.
In the five years he was doing this, he sold 18,794 drawings. Before he shut his business, each drawing was selling for almost $28 each. He did very well over the time he had his business going, but something wasn’t right, so he closed it down.
I expect he did that because he could only do so many drawings and his income was limited to the number of drawings he could do.
One thing is for sure, is that his business wasn’t something he could easily farm out or create passive income from. Each sketch needed to be unique to the individuals requested specifications.
When starting any online business, I suggest you want to have a business that will work for you 24/7 and generate income without your direct input.
Personally, one of my key factors is that I must have a business that can be done from anywhere in the world, simply using a high-speed WIFI connection.
The challenge many people face is that they don’t know what to create. They don’t know if their idea will work or sell.
If they investigate starting an online business, they quickly discover the complexity of what it takes.
The different web sites required.
The shopping cart and order taking software or system needed.
And of course, they need to create the products.
These are just a few of the many challenges to starting an online business.
I’ve helped many people do it, but it isn’t always easy and the financial requirement can be daunting when you don’t have sales coming in.
So, what’s the solution?
There is at least one. (I actually have three online businesses)
When asked, I usually tell people the best way to get started is to start by selling someone else’s product(s).
Ideally, they have ALL of the infrastructure set up for you. All you need to do is step in and start your business.
There is one that exists and it is completely turnkey and all you need to do is step in and start. Of course, there’s a bit of training you’ll need.
