Summary:

Do you ever stop to consider whether the effect of what you are doing each day is constructive or destructive to you? How do your choices and actions effect you, whether physical or in relation to the life you are creating for yourself?

People often just seem to fall into their habits. It’s as if they just happen, without them even being aware of it. Many habits develop unconsciously through our upbringing and exposure to our environment over time. Sometimes we may fall into destructive behaviours because they just seem easier or more appealing, like eating the unhealthy snacks or supersized meals that are made to look so enticing in advertisements.

What are your current habits? You probably have some that are quite good, such as brushing your teeth, while others may be destructive to your health and well-being, holding you back from achieving your potential.

What if you were to purposefully create constructive habits that could change your life and fast track you to success. There are several approaches you could take, but perhaps the simplest and most powerful way to change your habits is by tapping into the power of the subconscious mind, where habits are formed and perpetuated. The subconscious is incredibly powerful; it’s what moves you toward your conscious thoughts and desires.

You can harness the power of your subconscious mind, using personal programing messages, to purposefully create power habits of success that will move you toward the life you choose and the financial freedom you desire and deserve. Once you understand and begin to employ this method, you will notice changes start happening quickly in your life. You will begin to feel more powerful, knowing that you can create the life that you have envisioned and accomplish anything you set your mind to.

Today I want to talk about something that you may not have thought much about before. I want you to think about your constructive and destructive behaviors. Do you ever stop to consider whether the effect of what you’re doing each day is constructive or destructive to you? In broad terms this might mean some physical effect or it could relate to the life that you’re striving to create.

Letting Habits Just Happen

For some strange reason, destructive behaviors sometimes just seem to be easier or more enjoyable at the time we are doing them, like eating poorly. Some of those ads on TV make snacks or supersized meals look so enticing. Those destructive behaviors can be so easy to fall into when they are made to look so appealing. That’s what we do; we fall into them. They seem to just happen, rather than us making them happen, but are they destructive to our wellbeing? You want to ask yourself this on a regular basis. Also ask yourself, what other choices do I have?

Now, what are the habits that you currently have? Are they constructive or destructive? Many of the habits that we tend to think about are typically bad. You also likely have many good habits too, such as brushing and flossing your teeth. Now, there’s a good habit. Of course, if you didn’t brush your teeth for a while, the negative consequences would quickly become apparent; bad breath, an awful feeling mouth, the development of cavities, gum disease and your teeth might fall out after a while. These are the potential consequences of a poor habit choice.

Now quite often, people don’t consciously create their habits. They simply just happen or they may develop unconsciously through their upbringing and exposure to their surroundings over time. Their habits seem to just come into being, not on purpose, but rather through happenstance.

Different Methods

What about purposefully creating constructive habits? You can do this. In fact, you can create all sorts of powerful and constructive habits. Part of my teachings revolves around creating constructive habits. I know this is possible; I’ve done it for years and I’ve helped other people do it. I’ve worked with people that do it on a consistent basis, achieving great success.

I’ve seen people quit smoking forever. I’ve seen people lose weight and keep it off simply by creating these proper habits. Anyone can do this. It’s possible for you to develop habits of success that will take you from poor to rich, just like I did. I’ve done this using power habits of success.

There are different ways to create new habits. Now, you can start small. You can make one small change at a time and build on that change with another change and that’s a very powerful and useful approach for a lot of people. It works because people find it easy to make small changes a little bit at a time, exponentially building upon your previous successes. This relates to what I’ve talked about previously, in Living Exponentially, building upon one success after another.

Another approach is that sort of brute force, cold turkey approach. You decide you’re just going to do it. You take charge and you’re disciplined. Alternatively, you might try a kind of 12-step approach that some alcoholics or other people dealing with compulsive behaviors use.

Using the Power of Your Subconscious

None of these approaches are wrong and you should do whatever works best for you in order to create the habits that you want to create and get rid of those habits that are destructive. That said, I prefer and believe in another method that requires less brute force.

My approach is hugely powerful because you actually start at the root of where the belief lies in your mind. Habits exist in the subconscious. In my approach, you actually reprogram your subconscious mind. The subconscious is extremely powerful. It’s where all of your dreams are created. The subconscious mind is what moves you toward your conscious thoughts and desires. So to create a new habit in the simplest way possible, you must reprogram the subconscious.

Now, regardless of what course of action you take to accomplish this, each of these approaches mentioned above will eventually result in a shifting of your subconscious beliefs. However, in my direct approach, what I do is actually start with the idea of programming the subconscious, right from the outset.

Now, what do you want to program your subconscious mind with? What new habit would you like to create or what destructive habit do you want to eliminate? Are you trying to quit smoking? Are you trying to become fit? Before you decide, just take a moment to really think about it. Picture yourself there. What can you grasp most visibly and what is it that you want the most?

When I’m working with people, I help them to create what I call PPMs or Personal Programming Messages. These are clearly articulated instructions and well-defined visions that you want to create. You create them by actually planting them into your subconscious mind, programming it with your PPMs, in order to manifest them in your conscious and physical self.

Create Power Habits of Success

Now, as I said, if you want to be a nonsmoker, be thinner or maybe you want to become a more patient person, all of these goals are achievable through the creation of successful habits, the power habits of success. What is a power habit of success? Simply put, it is a habit operating on the subconscious level, that moves you consistently toward the life that you have pictured for yourself in your conscious mind; the life that you’ve always wanted and dreamed of for yourself. The goal or vision is conceived of in your conscious mind, and your subconscious is then programmed to move you toward your objective.

The truth is that by programming your subconscious mind, you can create whatever you want in your life. I know that this works. As many of you know, I came from a devastating bankruptcy and utilized these methods to create what I have today. I’ve worked with others to help them create their lives and to create fortunes for themselves as well. So I know from experience that this method is extremely powerful.

To get started, just ask yourself this simple question each day: Was what I did today constructive or destructive in terms of who I want to be and where I want to be in my life? In other words, is this what I want to create?

As you analyze your answers, you can decide to make changes. You can decide whether you want to reprogram your subconscious mind using powerful Personal Programing Messages or use the alternative methods of small gradual changes or brute force. You can decide whether you want to reprogram those old destructive behaviors and replace them with new constructive behaviors, the power habits of success that will move you toward what it is that you want to accomplish in your life.

You’ll find that by using my PPM method, changes will begin to happen quickly. You can and likely will see changes happening in your life in 30 days or less. As this happens, you will start to feel powerful, feeling that you can accomplish whatever it is that you set out to accomplish. You’ll start to feel and know that you can actually achieve the life that you want to achieve. You really can create your life as you see it, as you envision it, and as you want it. Just remember to ask yourself daily, is what I’m doing constructive or destructive? And when you do, you’ll be starting on the road to truly living rich.
