Do you want to have a rich life? Have you pictured the lifestyle you want, the things you would like to accomplish and how you want to live your life overall?
For most people, living rich means having the financial security and freedom to do what you want, when you want, without being limited by any financial constraints. Living rich is really a broad concept that encompasses all aspects of your life, including your finances, relationships, health and fitness, contentment and overall security in all of these aspects.
You can choose to live rich by proactively creating the life you want, but first, it is essential to define exactly what it is you want out of life by clarifying your life objectives. This will allow you to focus on opportunities that are going to move you forward to achieve these objectives.
To gain financial freedom, it is important to establish secondary or multiple streams of income for yourself. There are countless opportunities out there today. Clearly defining you life objectives and the kind of lifestyle you desire will allow you to identify, create and act upon opportunities that will move you toward financial freedom, giving you the security to live life rich, and perhaps, even help others to do the same along the way.

Clarify Your Life Objectives
Now, let me ask you a question. Do you have a life objective? Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not talking about something as esoteric as the meaning of life. I’m simply asking whether you have some idea about what you’d like to accomplish and how you’d like to live your life overall. That’s really what I’m talking about.
For myself, it’s really just as simple as being able to do what I want, when I want, without any monetary constraints. That’s the financial side. In addition, my goal is to help a million people start secondary or multiple streams of income, and from there, to help 10,000 of these people become multimillionaires. I’ve already helped some and am working with others to do the same. These are two of my life objectives. It’s about how I’d like to live my life overall and also about how I can serve other people. Now yours may be completely different, and that’s okay. I just wanted to give you a sense of what I mean when I ask you this important question.
Living Rich is a Broad Based Concept
This question informs the general context of living rich. When I say living rich, I’m not just speaking in financial terms. I’m really speaking about overall. It’s about your finances, your relationships, your fitness, your contentment, your security, and your lifestyle overall. It is all encompassing.
Living rich is a very broad-based concept about how you want to live your life, which of course includes the monetary aspect as well. It really comes down to pro-actively creating your life. What is it in your life that you would like to create? What do you want your life to look like as you go through it? Is that the way it is right now?
Have you given this a great deal of thought, because typically, when I talk with people, they don’t have a set idea of how they would like their life to look, how they would like to really live their life on a day to day basis, and that’s okay. I get that, because life often gets in the way. Really, most people, and I’m sure many of you reading this, are really in a position where they’re working like crazy, trying to get ahead, seemingly without a spare moment to think about their life objectives. What is really going on?
Ask the Important Questions
Well, I believe that when you begin looking at your current situation a little more closely, you will see and feel the need to delve deeper into these questions, in order to gain a better understanding of yourself and how you really want to live your life. Achieving your life objectives begins with asking these important questions and then making an effort to answer them honestly. It is so important that we do this, because if we don’t know how we want to live our lives, how are we ever going to achieve the lifestyle we want?
Try asking yourself another question. If you could do anything you want right now in terms of a career, what would it be? Are you doing it? If not, why is that?
Opportunities Are Out There
It’s really interesting, because I believe there are more opportunities out there today than there have ever been at any other time in our history. Whether you’re looking at business opportunities that already exist or ones that you create, new businesses are being created daily at an unprecedented rate, and we’re talking globally in terms of the opportunities out there, owing to the emergence of the internet and e-commerce.
However, opportunities aren’t just limited to the internet. There is a vast range of opportunities in today’s markets, which includes things like franchises. There are more franchises available today than ever before. Some opportunities require your time while others require money. Then there are those that require time, money and expertise.
So really, getting back to our life objectives, overall, what I’m talking about is the importance of creating multiple streams of income, because if you’re going to live a rich life, I believe part of it comes down to financial security.
Freedom and Security
As I mentioned, one of my personal objectives is not being limited by any of the financial aspects of life. I’m sure most people would also include this as part of their overall objective. If that’s the case for you, does your current income allow you to accomplish this objective? Do you currently have enough passive income, so that if you stopped working tomorrow, you wouldn’t have to worry about where your next paycheck was coming from?
That’s really what I’m talking about, because that’s what real freedom is; being able to not to worry about where that money’s coming from, not to worry about the next meal on the table, and of course, being able to do other things that are important to you in the life that you want to create for yourself.
One Good Idea
When I talk about multiple streams of income, it could be anything. The really important thing to realize is that one idea can change your life, just one. It can be anything. What ideas do you have? Have you had any ideas where you’ve thought, “Oh, if only I did that”?
Look at some of the companies that have recently become multibillion dollar successes. Did you ever think that Twitter or Instagram would be as big as they are today? What about YouTube? Of course it’s easy to look back and say, “Of course they were going to be a huge success,” but really, when they first came out, could anybody really predict that Facebook was going to be as big as it is today? When it first began, not even the founders likely ever thought that it was going to be as big as it is currently, because it really just started out as a university prank.
Act on Your Ideas
Thinking about some of the businesses that have come out today, I often say, “Oh, I wish I’d thought of that.” Have you ever felt that way? “Oh, that was such a good idea. It was so simple. Why didn’t I think of that myself?”
Well, of course, we may have great ideas, but then we have to act on these ideas and we probably need to acquire some skills in a lot of cases that we don’t currently have. From there, simply having the idea isn’t going to be enough, we must act on the idea.
Are you always thinking about new ideas? Are you brainstorming with yourself or with your spouse or significant other? Are you working on this on an ongoing basis? Do you have a journal in which you write down all of your ideas on a regular basis? Well, I strongly suggest that you do. Write down all of your ideas as they come to you, and if you’re out somewhere and you get an idea, make a note, send yourself an email from your smartphone or write it on a piece of paper and stick it in your pocket so you don’t forget.
Always be thinking, let your mind be open to new ideas and when you’re traveling, look at ideas from afar. Maybe there’s a product that you can import from some far away country that isn’t currently available in your home country. This is one of the things people often do. I know that whenever we travel, my wife is constantly thinking of ideas like, “Can we bring this product to North America? How about that one? What about this business idea? Can we put a twist on it and do something a little bit differently that makes more sense for the North American market?”
Always be thinking and always be journaling your thoughts and ideas so you can come up with something that really makes sense for you; something that you’re going to love and be passionate about. Maybe you’ll build it and then sell it, and that’s okay too. I like the idea of having an exit strategy in a lot of businesses, but again, that’s not for everybody. I’m simply throwing out ideas to help you begin to open your mind and start flowing with ideas of your own.
Success is a Measure of How Many People You Help
Now, when you’re thinking about these ideas, one of the things you should also think about is how many people can you serve. This actually becomes part of living rich, because, as you will see, it can be very exhilarating and rewarding to help other people succeed.
For myself, I love seeing other people gain a fortune and achieve the lifestyle and financial freedom that they’ve always strived for, dreamt of and deserve. You can call it good karma or selfish altruism, but there is definitely a positive synergy that takes place when we help others to achieve their dreams. For me, that’s really the way I look at it.
Now, it’s more of a personal, one-on-one thing with me. However, if you were to have, for example, a Twitter or Instagram idea, how many people could that idea serve? How far-reaching is the idea that you have? The more far-reaching and global the idea is, the more people you may be helping. Still, other ideas may be very localized and individualized, such as life-coaching or some other area where you have expertise that you can leverage to help others. Perhaps you end up making a lot of money through some other business enterprise and you’ll be able to serve the community in some other way.
Simply ask, in what way can you be of service to other people. Interestingly, what I’ve discovered over the years, and talked with other people about as well, is that the more people you serve, the higher your own paycheck seems to go, and this is my fundamental philosophy in business. I find that the more people I can serve, the more money I can make and, in turn, the more good I can do on a worldwide basis. In fact, it’s a self-perpetuating philosophy. I believe that, in essence, being of service to other people is how we ourselves, in turn, become successful.
Ask yourself, how can I help others to get what they want? In the end, of course, we are all able to have success and achieve our goals. This is the positive synergy I referred to above. So when you’re brainstorming ideas, whether it’s for a business, a secondary stream of income or whatever it might be, think along those lines.
Of course, there are many ideas for multiple streams of income and I’ve been talking about creating businesses. We can also get into the topics of real estate and stocks, which I will discuss in detail in my future posts and broadcasts. So we will be getting into that soon.
I also think that it’s very important when you’re living rich, to always be earning more than you spend. This will be an ongoing theme throughout many of the topics that I will be covering in the coming months, because if you’re spending more than you earn, well, eventually you’re going to go broke in most cases. Just look at our governments today. They’re on the verge of being broke, if they’re not already.
Overall Security
So ultimately, I believe it comes right down to being secure and I started with this idea. Living rich really means having security; the type of security that is all encompassing, protecting you financially, emotionally, within your relationships, your fitness goals, and in all aspects of your life. That’s really what living rich is; it’s security. It’s having the knowledge and feeling that you’re at one with yourself and your community, providing you with the ability to really move forward and help the people around you.
I always suggest also, as we’re helping others and as we’re building businesses or even in your job today, even if it’s a job that you don’t particularly like, that you always do your best. You’ll get recognized more when you do your best and no matter what type of job you’ve got, you never know who may be watching and whom you may impress. All of a sudden, one day you may find that someone is looking over the shoulder of someone else, plucks you from where you are and offers you a great opportunity because you were serving and doing your best all the time.
With that, I just want you to know that it is absolutely possible for you to live rich and have everything that you desire in your life. I hope that this post will start you thinking, generating ideas of your own, and provide you with some tools and inspiration, so that you can begin to define and then accomplish your life objectives and live rich.
