I expect by now you’ve heard of Amazon’s “Alexa?”
It’s really quite amazing what they are doing with it and how it could change the way we shop, watch TV, access entertainment, control our homes and more!
It’s a little scary sometimes to think that there’s this “box” listening to us at every moment, just waiting to jump into action.
I don’t have an Alexa yet, but will likely succumb to buying one as we integrate our new home in the next few months.
You can ask Alexa to order you pretty much anything you want that Amazon sells. You can ask her about the weather, travel schedules and much much more.
That said, it’s crazy what people expect her to be able to answer. Here’s a sample of some of the funny questions she currently being asked:
- “How many fingers am I holding up?” – (Just FYI… There’s no camera in Alexa)
- “Could you talk to Siri for minute?”
- “If I take you apart, can you help me rebuild you?”
- “At the movie theatre, which arm rest is mine?”
- “Why is vanilla ice cream white and vanilla extract, brown?
- “Is it OK to drink milk that expired last year?”
- “What is smarter, you or Siri?”
- “Is Amazon Prime really worth it?”
This is just a sampling and some are funnier than others, but it always amazes me what people expect of our technology.
One thing I do know is that there’s never been a time in history that we’ve had life easier due to technology. It’s changing the face of the planet and largely for the better.
Sure, there are some negatives, but all-in-all, the world is a better place due to our technological revolution and more people than ever are being raised from poverty because of it.
The question I have for you, is are you using technology to your best advantage?
